2025 SCHEDULE

10/5/2024- Summer in October was upon us today. Perfect for the Devil's tournament-the 6/6/6. The dynamic duo of Tom Wise and Rick Walker were our winners with an even par 64. We had a tie for both second and third places! Second place went to the pairing of Jeff Brunton and Nathan Johnson and Terry Keys and Randy Lawson. Third place was shared between Ray Torres and Alec Baumert and Chris Graham and Craig Goodwin. Congratulations on placing guys!

We had a great turnout for this wild tournament with 42 players including two new members, Rob Coon and Daniel Myers. Thank you for joining us and we are excited to have you in our club!

Our next tournament is our final trophy tournament of 2024 along with our final men's club meeting. That means it will be a 7:30 SHOTGUN start.  The tournament is the two man ball. Like today, you will be a two man team but you'll play your own ball all the way through the 18 holes. The best net score will be your team's score for the hole. The teams that finish with the top three net scores will get a shiny trophy at our awards banquet on November 9.

At our mens club meeting, we will have two important things to vote upon. The first vote will be for officers in 2025. I'm very happy with the six guys we have in their positions, even the tournament chairman (Pete Peterson is not pictured but he is our NCGA representative) but if the current officers want to move on, we will need someone else to step up.

The second vote will be if we wish to continue with the Saturday-Sunday-Saturday Club Championship for next year or if majority would prefer to go back to the three consecutive Saturdays. There are merits and drawbacks to both in my opinion but I'm good either way.

I did not mind the format this year for what it's worth.

Speaking of next year, you'll notice the schedule is posted with only the Club Championship dates not definitive pending our vote. The dates that are in BOLD indicate that we will play back to back Saturdays (the eclecitic, Club Championship, and the December tournaments). This was done to avoid major holiday weekends including Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.

I'll see you guys at 7:30 (really at least 15 minutes before) for our 2-Ball tournament. We are accepting renewals and new applicants for next year so please come on back if you like our club and bring your friends!
